About Us
Who We Are
The Central Coast Photographic Society is headquartered in San Luis Obispo County in the state of California. However, many of our members live outside the area, as far as the east coast of the USA and throughout the western states. As our monthly meetings are online via Zoom in the evenings, our members do not have to drive to attend and can enjoy the meeting from the comfort of their home or wherever they may be. At the present time, we have a little over 100 membersof all skill levels, many of whom are very advanced.
What We Do
We meet online on Zoom the second Thursday of each month at 7 PM, Pacific Time. The one exception is that there is no regular meeting in December. That is when we have our end of the year competition.
Our regular meetings consist of having speakers, member challenges and much more. Many of our speakers are well known internationally such as Ian Plant, David du Chemin and Mark Muench.
On the third Thursday of even numbered months, we have our competitions, one of our most popular activities. We bring in qualified photography judges from outside the club, who critique and score photos submitted by members. We also schedule in person meet-ups/ field trips where we get to know each other more and further share photographic information. There is also an annual club picnic each summer.
Our Goal
Our goal is to continue to offer our members an organization that is dedicated to offering its members a vehicle in which they can meet others who share their desire to become better photographers and enjoy it even more.

Our Board of Directors meets each month prior to the next meeting in order to plan the programs and events for the
following months in order to meet that goal.
