From Kathleen:

"I feel honored to have three pieces juried into this year's Beacon Art Show (DEI Theme), and deeply humbled that 'It's Christmas Time in SLO' was awarded Best in Show.

"I was out photographing Christmas lights in SLO when I came upon this man, and I felt a profound sadness that night.

"The gallery is filled with wonderful & moving art pieces by many talented artists; it is truly an honor to have my work included. My sincere thanks to the jurors and Beacon Art Show for this recognition and for providing a platform for important conversations about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion."

The exhibit is now open at the San Luis Obispo United Methodist Church on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (11am–4pm) through March 22.
